Dharma Who?
So, I have looked around in bookstores in three different countries and no one seems to have Dharma Punx. Ali shared over the weekend that she, too, has had these difficulties. One guy in some bookstore in Toronto told me that it could be ordered in hard cover but was not in print in paperback- which he said was weird because usually it would be the otherway around. . . Soo...I needed something to read on the plane (although I ended up watching a really bad movie and sleeping most of the flight home) and after browsing for awhile narrowed it down to The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen. So far, I really like it- but I am only about 45 pages in. What's everyone else reading right now? Em, I forgot to have a sober discussion with you about Edgar Mint! :-D We were having way too much fun for book talk!

I still try to find Dharma Punx around here. . .I like the Corrections though. :-)
I picked up some books at the airport since I couldn't find Dharma Punx (which after reading the description sounded really good) and am now reading two books. Don't laugh, one is Dreamcatcher (Stephen King) and the other is The Tattooed Girl (Oates). I'm a sucker for King and always fly through his books bc they are so bizzare (and bc of my love for horror)! And then I like to watch the movies. Anyone read the Tattooed Girl? So far it's good. Just wanted to share...
Dreamcatcher? Is that the original version of Nightmare on Elm Street? :-) Hee Hee...I have never heard of tattooed girl. Let us know how it is and I may add it to my reading list. I've still been reading Corrections-mostly at the gym the last couple days and really like it. I'm over a 100 pages in and there is still some character development going on but it's interesting. I am so bro-o-oke and should spend no money but I may try the mall here this weekend and still see if Waterstone's has Dharma Punx.
Dreamcatcher is very strange (but arent all his books?). It reminds me of a combination of War of the Worlds and 28 Days Later but with that King flare. Julia, when you find the title of the book let me know. I was trying to find his newest release but Dreamcatcher was the closest I could find. And of course I had to put Dreamcatcher on my Netflix queue bc I always love to read the books and then become really disappointed in the movies ;)
i just had to share that i found dharma punx at borders yesterday. i'm finishing my stephen king and then starting that...
I want to find Dharma Punx too!!!! Waaaa! I'll try again next week when I get paid on the 27th. Maybe they will have it at Merry Hill- I haven't looked there yet. I can't do it this weekend, though, I had to dig up change to get gas today!
